Vendor Support

Our small army of helpful volunteers will be available all weekend to support you, wearing easy to spot lanyards if you need any help. They’ll be available to mind your stand if you need to step away for ten minutes or to grab you drinks, etc from the café.

As a vendor, you’ll have access to unlimited water, tea and filter coffee all weekend, as well as a selection of snacks and fruit as required. We’ll also have a selection of sandwiches and nibbles for you on Friday before the Gala kicks off.

Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.

Photography

We will have a professional photographer on site at times over the weekend.

Charity Partners

Our charity partner this year is the Glasgow Women’s Library (https://womenslibrary.org.uk/), who will have an information stall on the café mezzanine and will be raising funds through the cloakroom and a winding service. This ties in to a (sold out) talk by Becky Male, talking about the GWL’s collection of vintage knitting patterns.

Other partners holding stalls on the café mezzanine are The West of Scotland Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers and our lovely pals Woolly Good Edinburgh.

The Trades Hall

WIFI

The Trades Hall have just installed a whole new system on site! We’ll have QR codes with the relevant information for you at set up.

Lighting

We will be supplying additional, professional lighting in the Saloon and Grand Hall to support the existing light in those spaces. Please feel free to bring your own stall lighting if you wish.

Accessibility

Accessibility is a top priority at the Trades Hall of Glasgow. The venue is fully wheelchair accessible, including the café, marketplace, and teaching spaces. However, it is important to note that this is a historic building with narrow corridors, which may pose some challenges for manoeuvrability.

The Trades Hall have recently replaced both platform lifts with newer models that have a higher load capacity of up to 300kg, which should help us ensure full access to all spaces. We will also ensure good signage throughout and volunteers are available to support visitors with access needs.

Gala Invite

Last but by no means least, we would love to invite you to join us for Pre-Show Food and Fizz before things kick off.

Doors open to visitors from 6pm, so from 5-6 we’ll have some alcoholic and non-alcoholic Fizz plus some sandwiches and nibbles to fuel you for the evening ahead.

We hope you’ll be able to come and meet the team and your fellow vendors for a relaxing chat before the fun begins!

We’re hoping this covers any questions you might have, but do send an email to vendors@tycevents.co.uk if we’re missed anything out! We’re really excited  about this year’s event and can't wait to see you all soon!
